EVXO's New Sustainable Foundation Packaging

I have super exciting news! In the short three years my company has been alive, I've heard one major complaint about our best selling product, our Liquid Mineral Foundation. I pride myself on listening to each and every customer complaint, and I'm so excited to share some fantastic upgrades that the team here at EVXO has been working on for the past year to take those into account. For those of you that have taken the time to write us or leave Amazon reviews, I couldn't be more grateful for the feedback. It has helped us address a very valid concern, our foundation packaging.

Introducing EVXO's New Last Drop Bottle And Push Button Dropper!

One of the most consistent critiques I've received in the years since we introduced EVXO's Liquid Mineral Foundation is the airless pump bottles it came in.

From lack of control, to pump mechanisms breaking, to needing to open the bottle to get to that last dollop of foundation, I've heard over and over that the quality of our bottle did not match the quality of our product, and I couldn't agree more! Not only was the old packaging clunky looking and not entirely efficient, it was made completely out of plastic. Sustainability is just as important to me as being vegan and organic, and I was so happy to finally be able to move in a sustainable direction!

And thus, I began a search for the perfect bottles to house our Liquid Mineral Foundation. I needed them to be:

  • Eco-Friendly
  • Controllable
  • No Waste
And after a long search (nearly a year), I found what we consider to be the perfect foundation bottle.

Labor Friendly / Eco-Friendly

Crafted and assembled in Spain, our new bottles are made of sturdy recyclable glass topped with a sustainably farmed wood dropper!

More Control

With this push button dropper, you can easily dispense the exact amount you need, saving you product and money!

Every Drop

The tip of the dropper fits perfectly into a small notch in the bottom of the bottle. Good to the last drop!

And that's not all!

Introducing Two New Colors!

We also heard from some of you that our shade selection is not diverse enough, that while you love the formula, you had to combine two shades in order to match your skin tone. I know this can be annoying and while we would love to have a Fenty-like shade range, we are an Indie company funding ourselves completely out of pocket. We don't have the ability to jump to the kind of shade range we'd love to offer. But, we are going to keep moving in that direction!

For those of you with very fair skin, who found Bisque too deep, Alabaster is designed for you!

And for those that found Chestnut too dark and Sandalwood too light, Oak bridges that gap!

These won't be the last new shades you'll see from us. Keep letting us know what shades you'd like, and we'll keep working towards offering them!

New Bottles, New Names

With the introduction of these new shades, I decided to step back and look at all of our shade names, as well as the name of our foundation in general.

It's always been important to me that our Liquid Mineral Foundation not hide your skin, but even out the imperfections and heal your skin while letting your natural beauty shine through. I think "EVXO's Peek-A-Boo Liquid Mineral Foundation" better describes what this foundation does. And once I made that change, the old shade names just didn't fit. For example "Nude" doesn't describe a single color. "Nude" describes many different skin tones and to assume "Nude" only comes in caucasian is frankly very offensive. So I think many of you will not be sad to see the old names go!

Without further ado, our new shade names and swatches!

Now we need to talk about price...

I've always treated our price as a badge of pride. High quality foundations can often sell for as much as $50.00 - $100.00, but I want to make sure that cruelty-free foundations with organic and vegan ingredients are attainable to all. So my team works hard to keep our costs as low as possible, and despite economic pressure, we've never before raised our price.

But, it's time. These bottles are of much higher quality and cost me an arm and a leg to get. As I'd like to send my son to college one day, 24.99 is no longer a price that makes sense. In order to make these upgrades, we need to raise the price of our foundation from $24.99 to $29.99.

Fortunately the extra product you can now use in each bottle and control over the product output will make each bottle last you longer, justifying the price.

Thank you all for coming on this journey with us, and thank you for sticking with us as we make even more exciting changes!

I have tried nude (now pearl) in the past but it is a tad too light for my skin. I am pretty fair with reddish/pink tones in my skin. Is bisque (sea shell) darker than nude? Or should I go for the desert sand and blend with nude?
